For our "Business Destination Germany 2024" study, we surveyed 350 CFOs from the largest German subsidiaries of international corporations on Germany's location factors. The aim was to position Germany's competitiveness in comparison to the EU. In this special edition, we spotlight the insights of the 100 CFOs working for US companies.
We answer the following questions:
- How does the current and future business situations look like, and what are the investment plans?
- How positively or negatively are different location factors assessed?
- Where do the greatest investment opportunities lie?
- What are the biggest investment obstacles?
- Which megatrends shape ongoing transformation processes?
Overall, the survey results are mixed. Reforms are needed in various areas to stop the noticeable downward trend. The focus is particularly on digital transformation.
